Vladivostok (Russia) Hotels
Vladivostok ("Lord of the East" in Russian) is found under 100 km east the Chinese fringe, and right over the Sea of Japan from the principle Japanese island of Honshu. Home base of the Russian Pacific Fleet, the city was shut to all non-Soviets from 1958 until 1991. Between its establishing in 1860 and shutting to nonnatives in 1958, Vladivostok was a genuinely universal city. In the early part of the twentieth century, Russians were really dwarfed by Chinese in Vladivostok, and amid the years taking after the Revolution, there were vast Japanese and US populaces. The US kept up an office in Vladivostok until 1948.
